Hello, my name is Josh Malmquist from Topsfield, Massachusetts. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design and Development with a minor in History from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in May 2018. You may be wondering what makes me, well me? The answer is a couple of things, the biggest one being my passion and love for video games. I am currently looking for opportunities as a gameplay or engine programmer. One of the main reasons why I wanted to work in the game industry stems from the effect video games have had on my life. In my opinion, video games have always served as a fun and entertaining break from my day to day life. However, as I played a wide variety of games, I soon became fascinated and amazed at the level of detail that was put into the games. It was due to the careful precision of detail that had inspired me to want to work in the game developing field. My hope is to create amazing experiences and gameplay that brings a smile to people faces just like it did for me.
